I am Melanie Karana I am from France. I began my design business Karana Creation in 2006, I was 20 years old, after over 7 years of designing.
In 2009, I moved to Miami to continue my design and creations.
I am inspired by nature and animals therefore, all of my creations unify a human's journey and his connection with the earth...
A story that you can't explain with words but that you can feel in your heart.
Browsing through Karana’s jewelry collection has the felling of walking through a museum of sculpture, each piece is hand-crafted and created from the finest materials. With a sensibility of proportion and fine art derived from French masters like Rodin and Camille Claudel, Karana is creating piece of wearable art as to go out, in the collection of an heiress or in the collection of a museum.
Technique:
Using everything from leather to real leaves to feathers to gold plated and sterling silver to Swarovski crystals and pearls, artist Melanie Karana designs wearable creations of extraordinary style and distinction. Her jewelry is created from nearly anything that she finds alluring and each jewelry is unique and It is created by hand by the artist herself.
Training:
Melanie Karana studied " the art of jewelry and diamonds", In Marseille (South of France). She was an apprentice in a fine jewelry workshop. There she learned everything regarding gold and diamonds.She graduated in 2006.She loved fine jewelry but our passion for fashion was calling her. In 2006, at the age of 20 she decided to open her company "Karana" where she designed her line of custom jewelry
